Day 17: Pthalo Green (Blue Shade) (Sep 2015)

Today’s audition chart is with Pthalo Green (Blue Shade) by Golden.   My surprise for today was that this color is almost exactly like the other Pthalo Green and Viridian that I have.  Three tubes of paint nearly the same color.  Also, this one by Golden has just one pigment – PG7.   I also decide to add  Quinacradone Magenta to the complement mix and found that it makes a really nice purple.

I’ve been mixing both cobalt and ultramarine at the bottom of the page and think I don’t have to do that anymore either.
