Jan 2014: 30 Day Challenge: Day 21

Fantasy Drawing

The Situation
Pen, Ink, Watercolor

I began this as Mom and I waited at the doctor’s office.  The composition still came from the wrought iron piece at church but this took on  a very different feel.  The piece also looked very different in black and white than it does now in color.  The spinning arms  looked more like a tangled mess of blades before I added more color.

I believe this image represents the problem in Mom’s veins, the stress from the last few months and the slow healing sores she has had.  We have received good news, as soon as the paper work is finished, they can fix the problem.

Just looked at your paintings and they are beautiful!!! Love your colors and detail! Glad your mom’s problem can be fixed. My mom had surgery today to correct a cracked vertebrae that she has suffered with for a month (wrong diagnosis for 3 weeks). Such a relief to get her “fixed”.
